Q. I was wondering if you recorded some sessions with the other cast members. I know a lot of times with animation you're kind of working as individuals.
A. Most of the time, it's you alone in front of a microphone in a booth. I did a couple of sessions by myself and a couple of months into it, I got to do a session with Jonah Hill and Jay Baruchel. Before that, I'd never met the guys. I didn't know what energy they were bringing to the characters so it was nice to have those sessions for reference when I was in the booth by myself.
Q. Interacting with them helped you find your voice as Astrid?

Q. What was your reaction when you first saw the whole thing visualized in 3-D?
A. To be honest, I have not seen the finished film. A. That's news to me. The second I got the call, "Do you want to be in a DreamWorks movie?" I said, "Yes, yes and yes."

A. I did not play hard to get.
Q. I was wondering about the different genres you're branching into. This new movie was something different. Are you looking to do something next that's completely in the opposite direction?
A. I don't have any set ideas of what I want to do next. To be honest, I could have never foreseen "Betty" coming into my life. I could have never guessed five years ago that I'd spend four years on a television series.
Q. Looking back, there was never any reticence in terms of the title?
A. It was all excitement. I honestly didn't think that I would be doing television and when this character came around, I thought, "This is a wonderful character." Her journey was what made me want to do the show. I could have my own ideas, a blueprint of what the next five years of my career should look like but chances are, it's not going to turn out that way.
